Steven "Randy" Helms

Steven (Randy) “Grumpy” Helms, 69, of Rosedale, IN passed away at home on Sunday January 22, 2023.

He was born on November 7, 1953, in Clinton to James Helms and Edna Faulds Helms.

Randy is survived by his parents Jim and Edna of Terre Haute, his companion of 35 years Kelley Underwood of Rosedale, his sons Steven Helms Jr. (Holly Kearschner) of Rosedale and Adam Helms of Terre Haute; stepsons Jason Underwood (Jodice) and Justin Underwood both of Rockville; his brother Kenny Helms (Marsha) of Terre Haute and Donna Hoskins (Chip) of Brazil.  Also surviving are his grandchildren Maizie Helms, Kay, Austin, Kingston, Wyatt, Jadice, Kiera and Harlee, his great grandchild Tiz and several nieces and nephews.

Randy loved being in the woods and was an avid hunter, he was the former Commander of American Legion Post 140, a member of the former Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6653.

Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. service to begin at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Keith McIntyre officiating. Randy will be laid to rest with military honors in Roselawn Memorial Park.
