Steven B. Lindsey, 70, of Universal, passed away at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at 5:50 am.
He was born in Clinton on December 12, 1950, to John and Jacqueline Haase Lindsey.
He was previously employed at Poly One in Terre Haute as an inventory specialist. He attended the Sacred Heart Church in Clinton. He was a former member of the Izaac Walton League and a graduate of the Clinton High School class of 1968.
He was an avid fisherman; a passionate cook, always trying new recipes. He was a lifelong weightlifter, a runner, and a boxer. Steve was a wine and beer maker, known for his lemon beer and raspberry wine. His most recent passion was making cigar box guitars.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Rose.
Survivors include his wife Debbie Lindsey; his son, John (Nicki) Lindsey of Clinton; a step-daughter, Susan Livovich of Frederick, Maryland; grandchildren, Anna (Casey) Seward of Clinton, Jonathan Lindsey of Clinton, Bobbie Sue Lindsey of Clinton, Corey Mankin of Frederick Maryland, and Jack Vaughn of Frederick, Maryland; 2 great-grandchildren, Zayden and Mailey Seward; 2 sisters, Jonna Salts of Covington, IN, and Lisa Lindsey of Lake Charles, Missouri; his mother-in-law, Marie Spurr of Clinton; several nieces and nephews; and 2 good friends, Tony Chapman and Bill Cottrell.
There is no visitation or services scheduled and cremation has been chosen.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Blanford Sportsmans Club.
