Virginia “Jenny Mae” (Doran) Kelsheimer, 80, of St. Bernice passed away on Saturday September 7, 2024, at her home.
Jenny Mae was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on March 28, 1944, to John and Selestia Doran. She and her siblings grew up in a difficult time, all they had was their parents and each other. This upbringing brought them very close together, and the importance of family continues to be passed down to each generation.
She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. She was a proud homemaker and put her all into it. Jenny Mae loved the country life and had gathered much knowledge about it and was always happy to pass it on.
Those preceding Jenny Mae in death is her parents, her husband Leroy Kelsheimer, daughters: Jeannette Kelsheimer, Tina Clutter, and Wendy “Red” Kelsheimer; sisters: Caroline Walton, Imogene Boyd, Hilda Baxley and Barbara Eslinger; and brothers: John Doran, Robert Doran, Jeff Doran, and Frank Doran.
Jenny Mae is survived by one brother Ed Doran (Nadine) of Vermilion, IL., children Junior Presley of Montezuma, Jim Presley of Paris, IL., Jerry Presley of St. Bernice, Darla Kelsheimer (Paul) of Clinton, Tommy Kelsheimer (Rhonda) of St. Bernice, and Jennifer Beckman (Joe) of St. Bernice; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Wednesday September 11, 2024, from 11:00a.m. until 3:00p.m. Service at 3:00p.m. with Pastor Keith McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Chrisman, IL.
